The research group isseeking to appoint postdoc working on the intersection of machine learning andmedical sciences. This position will be mainly supervised by [申请查看],and jointly supervised by Professor Fu Junfen, director of the Children Hospitalof Zhejiang University.

Location: Zhejiang University , Hangzhou

Salary: CNY300,000to CNY 400,000 per annum before tax, depending the candidate’s experience.

Mission

Our mission is todevelop interpretable machine learning algorithms mainly applied to medicaldata. Your primary focus will be to develop and evaluate interpretablestatistical and machine learning algorithms applied to medical data. The maingoal is to develop methods for discovering non-linear associations between riskfactors and metabolic diseases. The results will aim at helping medical doctorsdesign and implement efficient interventions. You will evaluate your methodsby: (a) the performance, computational efficiency, and interpretability of theresults;
(b) the methods’ robustness to model misspecification;
and (c)interacting with experts in the relevant medical field.

The positionrequirement

The successfulapplicant should hold, or about to obtain a relevant Ph.D. degree in computerscience, statistics, mathematics, or disciplines related to AI or machinelearning and should have strong programming skills, and a solid background instatistical theory, machine learning, or artificial intelligence. Preferenceswill be given to candidates with knowledge in spatial statistics, R-INLA,Template Model Builder, PyTorch, or quantum computing. An initial contractwill be given for 2 years, starting at any time from the date of thepublication of the job advertisement, with the possibility ofsubsequent extensions. Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) isrequired.
